Courtney Dutter is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at ICIMS, a leading enterprise talent acquisition platform. She has spent more than 15 years building and leading the company’s legal, privacy and compliance organizations from the ground up. A trusted steward of ICIMS’ integrity and governance, Dutter oversees all legal, compliance and governance matters, including commercial contracting, data protection and privacy, employment law, intellectual property protection and strategic transactions, at the helm of an award-winning team.
Since joining ICIMS, Dutter has guided the company through numerous acquisitions, strategic partnerships, global expansions and significant growth, safeguarding the talent data of customers spanning more than 200 countries and territories. As AI reshapes the talent acquisition landscape, she and her team are at the forefront of navigating the rapidly shifting regulatory environment around artificial intelligence, helping ICIMS deliver innovation that is powerful, safe, ethical and compliant.
Based in Chicago, Dutter holds a B.S. in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology from UCLA and a J.D. with a concentration in Intellectual Property from Seton Hall University School of Law. She serves on the advisory board of Seton Hall’s Stillman School of Business, is a member of the Fast Company Executive Board and she is a member of the Executive Women’s Council for the Northern Illinois Food Bank. In 2026, Dutter was awarded the Top 50 Corporate Counsel Award at the OnCon Awards.
